Spring Migration 2008 will be held on Friday 5th, Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th September.

This year we need a larger venue for Friday Meet And Greet (Yackandandah Hall) as well as the Star Hotel Yackandandah.
The Indigo Shire are one of our main sponsors this year, as we have proved what the Gay community
can
do for the economy of small country towns, and how we can have fun and
party without trouble or problems and have proved to country
communities what a great bunch of people we all are.
Not only are we now part of History Making in the North East of Victoria with a Church Service celebrating life,
but in 2008 there will be Tibetan Monks blessing the Festival on Saturday night, this is also another coup for the North East.

Gaz is now a committee member on Yackandandah Tourism Association and we have some amazing things
in store to bring alternative and peaceful festivals to our part of the world, Yackandandah and the beautiful
and breathtaking mountains of the North East of Victoria.

A new event in Yackandandah
HIS HOLINESS THE DALI LAMAS TIBETAN MONKS
WILL BE IN YACKANDANDAH FOR SIX DAYS
1st July to 6th July, 2008
This event will include:
The now Famous creating and dissoloution of a Sand Mandala (over 6 days)
Meditation sessions, Tibetan Cooking Classes, Pet blessings, Tibetan Dancing Demonstration,
day worksops, art therapy, ladies retreat weekend and a multi faith service.
All visitors welcome, bring your friends, family and children.

Spring
Migration is a Gay & Lesbian festival held in Yackandandah
annually. It is open to all people regardless of sexuality.
Come
along and join us for our fourth Festival in 2008 - a weekend of fun
and frivolity in beautiful Yackandandah, North East Victoria (just
south of Albury/Wodonga) & (just north of Beechworth)
With Tourism Victoria right on board to showcase the "HIGH COUNTRY" and the beautifull historic towns
of the INDIGO SHIRE.
Tourism Victoria has also put international Journalists in contact with us so they can go home and write great stories
about victoria and promote and showcase "SPRING MIGRATION" to the gay community WORLDWIDE.
As with any festival the costs are quite alot of money so we have been emailing everyone in the shire to help support the
4th SPRING MIGRATION .
BEECHWORTH is only 20 minutes
drive to yackandandah, so if you haven't booked your accomadation and
find out that we are full here,
Book into Beechworth. There will be Taxi services,and if you share will only cost a few dollars each.
We
also have a local kennel at beechworth, so if all the pet friendly
places are booked, you can put fluffy or madge into the kennel and
they will be only minutes away to visit.
